6 of us went for the meal on a Sunday, aiming to have a roast, a little disappointed they didn't do chicken. Those in the group who had the roast said it was delicious and well worth the money. Would recommend this place.

Great family fun last night at White Horse Quiz Night (held once a month). Pub packed with teams of six. Had a family meal before quiz, which was excellent! We all made different choices from menu and everyone's food was very tasty! A family run pub with lovely friendly staff. Would fully recommend View menu

We had a roast here today. The last time we visited around a year ago was absolutely superb. The food was exceptional and staff very nice. I was concerned that it may not be the same a year on. I was not disappointed, if anything it was better! I will definitely be visiting again and I won't be leaving it a year this time.

Unfriendly landlady, not as family friendly as they make out, great service to begin with but went over the top about an accidental breakage by a toddler, even though mother apologised and offered to pay for breakage! And barred without telling us only found second hand from someone else, I wonder if she bars everyone who breaks anything ?

This is a community pub with a friendly atmosphere. The staff organised an evening of Christmas carols that brought regular patrons, locals, and people from the village church together for a lovely festive evening. The place was cheerful and people were having a good time. You could talk to anyone and I enjoyed a lot of laughs and conversations in between the singing. View menu

Had a fantastic evening to celebrate a special birthday party! We hired the restaurant area for a birthday party to celebrate with 40 family and friends. From booking through to the celebration, staff were amazing and so helpful! They decorated the private bar area with balloons and banners I took along beforehand, dedicated bar staff, delicious buffet food and a great DJ! Everyone had a fantastic evening celebrating and commented how lovely the pub was! Thank you once again to the Management and staff for a really great evening!

I was one of a large party who had prebooked for Sunday lunch. I was seated in the restaurant rather than the bar area. My review is based solely on the length of time I sat waiting for my food to arrive at my table and the meal I ate. I sat down at the table at 12.30pm as booked but my meal didn't arrive until almost 2.30pm. I know we were a large party but that was just too long to wait. Aspects of the meal were delicious. Vegetables, gravy and roast potatoes were yummy, however, the roast lamb was excessively fatty and gristly. The evidence of this was left on my plate. Had the service been more timely and the roast lamb less chewy my review could easily have been a 5* review

I do not go on trip adviser much, but had to have my say regarding my experience Sunday. Firstly, I would like to say thank you for your team, I had the lamb shank, which was absolutely stunning. My wife had the Roast Beef to which she enjoyed immensely, the meat and potatoes were to die for. The staff was very professional, the landlady (Heather) was very attentive. Unfortunately, we were sat near a very large table, I believe they were from the local church or something, I have never heard such foul mouthed language coming from a few woman, most of the group were very polite.
