The Tickled Trout - Menu

Since the new management took over about years ago, The Tickled Trout has improved hand over fist! The staff are courteous and friendly and always very welcoming. The food is great and excellent value for money. The Assistant Manager, Jeff, is a star. Brilliant...at his job!

we were so often driven, but decided to stop today at midday and were very pleasantly surprised by the eating and personal were also beautiful. eating with preschool children can be very stressful, but the child menu was excellent and both children really enjoyed their lunch.

We were a party of adults, small baby and dog out for lunch. We were shown to our pre-booked table and were able to order food and drink from a very friendly and efficient female member of staff. Had a family lunch today booked a table through the App so easy to do meet at the door shown to a lovely table bright and warm orded drinks then when they arrived we ordered food brisket sandwiches and a fish finger sandwich arrived...very quickly warm and tasty had more drinks all serve promped and polite hot food cold beer friendly staff can't ask for any more will be back

We were at the Tickled Trout for Christmas Day lunch as a party of four. Everything was absolutely perfect! We were greeted warmly and shown to our table immediately. I had requested online a table beside the fire, for my year old mother in...law, not really expecting to get this on such a busy day. To our delight, we were given such a table which was so nice and cosy. The service was excellent, our waitress was lovely and the food was tremendous! Between the four of us we had a variety of different menu choices and every single thing was perfect. The atmosphere was lovely too. We couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you to all involved for making our Christmas Day so special.

on Sunday met with the family to celebrate the birthday of my sister. we were a party of we enjoyed our meal very much. the restaurant was very busy, but there were many employees who were able to offer an excellent, pleasant service. beautiful atmosphere. we had a choice of dressed from the menu and everything was very delicious. I was disappointed that Sunday truthahnbraten had run out, as I had decided to ask after the beautiful Christmas day truthahnmahlzeit in the tickled trout. but it was and these things happen. My partner and I visited here in November and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere in the pub was exactly what I look for at this time of year cosy and relaxed! The food was delicious. We shared salt pepper calamari to start and...then my fiancé had the lamb duo which he said was cooked perfectly he couldn’t decide which he preferred most, the shepherds pie or the lamb rump as both were stunning. I felt in the mood for pizza so had the margherita pizza with added chillies, it was huge and really hit the spot!! We also had a side of chunky chips and a side of onion rings, both were incredible, so fresh and crunchy! We were too full for dessert but will definitely be back for some as we eyed up...

We visited last week after booking a table online. There were five of us, two couples and a baby. We were given the large round table in front of the fireplace which was great and helped our baby stay warm! Rachel was the lady who...was responsible for our table and she was absolutely fantastic! She answered all our questions on the dishes and had a lovely manner! She was very polite with a great sense of humour,too! so my man has always gone from this restaurant and after reading all the positive reviews we have decided to book a table. first I would say that all staff members were very polite and we understand that it is nice for the server to be friendly; but most of the other servers that were on other tables also constantly asked us if we were happy and after a few times this started getting on our nerves. Now that we tried to eat something, the menu is misleading and is too expensive! my man had 'soup of the day' tasted like water with some spicy and I feel that this came from a freezer.
