We live to have a drive to this place at weekends for a nice pub lunch. Food is excellent and dogs are welcome In the bar area

Red lion is a great country pub… food and staff 5 star.. comfy rooms and great location, great coffee.In between bury and Bolton. Highly recommended.

Quick shout out to the young man who served us today. His menue knowledge and service was the best I have experienced. I didn't get his name but well done.

My family of five had a wonderful stay in the family suite, which had plenty of space for all of us. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious.

The accommodation suited our purpose and we'd stay again. Being there on a Friday Saturday the noise from the bar was a slight inconvenience until closing time for one of our party.

This hotel and restaurant is a perfect spot for a cozy overnight stay. Located near Bury, the surrounding countryside is charming and picturesque. The decor is lovely and the hospitality is top-notch. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

This isn’t the first time we have been here, but the first where the food was not good. The beef Sunday lunch was poor, the meat was chewy and full of fat, very little gravy too, and nobody bothered to ask how the food was. Whilst we will probably return, we definitely won’t be having the beef, a new butcher is required. And more care from the chef.

Today I took my daughter, son young grandaughter for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my daughters birthday. Previously booked, no mention that drinks not included in price, or on website, we were seated asked what drinks we would like, Tea, coffee, soft drink, only Prosecco was mentioned as extra Drinks arrived, 2 small bottles Fanta , coffee decaff tea Sandwich were nice but cakes were mostly shop bought, unfortunately no child version so had to pay for a 4th adult tea, also only 3 small scones came so had to ask for a 4th. Bill was an extra £12.75 for drinks. Not sure how you can advertise Afternoon Tea charge for tea/ coffee without any former notification. Slightly disappointed to say the lea...

Our friends from the USA were staying at the "Red Lion" during a quick trip to the UK and invited us to join them for dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We shared three starters - Burrata, garlic mushrooms, and squid - which were all very tasty. For our main courses, we had a variety including fish and chips, fish topped with a poached egg on risotto, and chalk stream trout with sauté potatoes and broccoli. My personal favorite was the trout, which was beautifully cooked and delicious.
