"Everything Harry says in his review is largely on the money: And don 't just take his and my word for it: This restaurant has about 800 ! reviews on Tripadvisor, almost all of them hugely positive. Who knows why Yelpers have stayed away, except that they 're apparently ig 'nant? Tropicana is off the beaten tourist path, it offers excellent value for your euro, and the service was phenomenal. The restaurant 's in a storefront in about a mile down the Ave. Málaga from the Plaza de España area, in a modern residential area, so it is somewhat out of the way for tourists. For us, getting there was a pleasant 20-minute walk on a beautiful evening. It 's been quite awhile since we there, but I do remember that the food was excellent, expertly prepared and creative. We shared a perfectly crispy fried spring roll of sorts filled with robustly-flavored braised oxtail that was seriously delicious , wonderful marinated anchovies, and morcilla served over nicely fried potatoes and topped with a poached egg, and a pickled padrón? pepper onions. For an entree, I had an octopus arm that was about as big as a baby 's forearm and that sold for only 16 euro great value! ; can 't really remember the accompaniments there, but the cephalopod was very nicely grilled. All of this stuff was terrific and robustly flavorful. My only complaint--and maybe part of the blame should be attributed to our ordering--was that everything was cumulative extremely rich--very heavy, with some items doused with perhaps a bit too much olive oil. Our server, who was the son of the chef, was as good as he could be. He spoke superb English didn 't even give us a chance to work on our Spanish, which had improved a bit by this late point in the trip! , took pains to guide us through the menu, and was just great all-around at his job. Decor-and-ambience wise, Tropicana is a bit of a puzzle. Obviously, the name suggests a Latin-American vibe, and aqua-ish color scheme, smooth surfaces, and clean-lines did, too. It almost seems like a Miami -themed restaurant, but then the food seems much more Spanish/European. Either way, it 's comfortable and sharp-looking enough."

"Si no sabes dónde tomar unas cañas y unas buenas tapas en Ronda, te recomiendo ir a Casa Mateos. Una cocina riquísima, acogedor, el personal te trata de lujo, hace que te sientas como en casa. Nosotros pedimos unas burguer de ibéricos y de rabo de toro, pastelito de atín, molletes de choricitos al jerez y revuelto de champiñón con langostinos. Totalmente recomendable. El camarero que nos atendió fue de lo más amable y risueño con nosotros. No dejéis de ir."

"They were fast but the pizza dough was sosa (the salami spicy was very good) and it is unforgivable that a salad of almost 10 euros is so ractical. If you charge the salad the same face as the pizza that you expect to be able to take it as a unique dish, and if it's not because my wife gave me a room of her pizza I would have been very hungry. I won't repeat it."

"El Restaurante Casa María está ubicado en un lugar ideal y cuenta con una agradable terraza sobre el arroyo Endrinales que bordeando el recinto se funde a escasos metros con el arroyo de Las Hoyas para dar origen al nacimiento del río Madera. Isabel, la anfitriona y propietaria del establecimiento nos obsequió al grupo de amigos que participamos en el almuerzo con un recital gastronómico basado en la cocina tradicional albaceteña compuesto por atascaburras, ajo pringue, migas, careta de cerdo, gazpacho manchego, judías con perdiz, huevos agarraos (que ideara su madre),venado en salsa y diferentes postres. Todo muy rico y bien preparado por la estupenda cocinera que la acompaña en los fogones. Gracias Isabel por el buen trato dispensado, variado menú ofrecido y su buen saber estar, que propició el que pudiéramos disfrutar de una estupenda velada."

"Good bar to eat tapas in Ronda. It is small better to reserve. If you go with older people, as was my case, let us know first since most of the tables are at a height. We did not do it, but even when the grandparents were sitting on a high stool we were very comfortable. Very attentive waiters. I went with my daughter who is Celiac and they treated her phenomenally, very attentive to the issue of cross contamination and with her, they adapted the tapas she requested without problem. It's nice to find bars that offer gluten-free options. All the delicious tapas, but the spectacular px sirloin croquettes...
