"The service was pleasant and attentive, the tables were well spaced. I had the mozzarella salad to start with which was a cheap watery ball of mozzarella with some dried herbs sprinkled on it on a bed of rocket and a few plum tomatoes no fresh herbs at all. The pasta was chewy and undercooked. All the dishes seemed to be based around same basic pasta sauces bland but edible. The pizza was greasy and when picked up the topping just slid off the base. The calzone was mainly crust and when we asked for other ingredients to be added they said no so they clearly were not fresh. I didn't complain but I definitely wouldn't book again"

Friendly. Good food and wine. Closes very early for a Saturday Night. At 9:30 we were the last ones in restaurant. We didn't like staff standing at back of restaurants waiting for people to finish their meals but apart from that a cosy restaurant.

Nice ambience, good lighting and decor. Attentive service by friendly and efficient staff. Every dish we took was really tasty! Portions were generous and the wine was really good. I will be back to enjoy the comfortable, relaxing and pleasant stay. View menu

We were recommended by our hotel to visit. They said don’t walk past it as it’s the best Italian in the City and it lived up to it. Lovely service and the food was first class at a price that wasn’t a rip off given that the City is full of tourists.

Gave this restaurant a try during our holiday in Canterbury and would definitely return in the future . The food was wonderful and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were happy to answer any questions we had regarding the menu including the specials on the blackboard. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal including the house wine and a limoncello to finish.

Stayed in Canterbury for the weekend and saw this on Trip Advisor and it seemed like a lovely place to eat. Arrived and was very impressed with the customer service and the lovely friendly lady on the door who showed us our table, and was pleased with just how cozy this restaurant is. The food was exceptional and I had the seafood linguines with clams, mussels and prawns View menu

An old school Italian restaurant where they really care about food. We have been many times and always enjoy the atmosphere and authentic pasta dishes. They also offer a range of pizzas which are popular with my teenage son. Tucked away on a picturesque street slightly off the beaten track in Canterbury, this is a lovely spot for a family dinner served with charm and enthusiasm.

Having read the reviews, i thought that this would be ideal for a group of friends and I to have a meal. one review said A little piece of Italy which sadly it was not. The service was very good , but the food came no where near Italian food, which I do know very well, large quantities but totally bland, to the extent that I had to apologise to my friends for choosing Pinocchios

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
