A lovely Sunday Lunch at this delightful pub. Very friendly, efficient service. Food beautifully cooked and served. Great experience....looking forward to next time.

We discovered this restaurant on Tripadvisor and we are thrilled that we did. The food is delicious (especially the chips!) and the staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the pub for my birthday lunch. The food was delicious, especially the chicken wings which we all highly recommend. They were hands down the best I've ever had. For dessert, we tried the Malteser and salted caramel cheesecake which was also fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Thank you to The Bell in Bovingdon - we will definitely be returning!

Fabulous lunch for four. Steak and ale pie and beef suet puddings to die for (not literally of course). . Perfectly cooked veg.. and treacle tart, custard and cream a plenty. No shortage of food on plate...Super friendly and attentive staff, wonderful food from the chef and kitchen staff. Roaring fire, village setting .. washed down with first class local ales. could it have been better? No. Will be back again very soon

We celebrated my mum's 90th birthday (me, my wife and son, sister in law, niece, nephew and nephew's wife, my late brother was there in spirit). The menu had a good range of choices. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and helpful and brought out the cake I bought for the occason and sang Happy Birthday. Coffee afterwards was great too. The atmosphere and decor are warm and welcoming. This place was recommended to us and I can see why. We will certainly eat there again. View menu

Just wanted to congratulate everybody at The Bell yesterday for providing us with a fantastic Sunday lunch. There was a wide choice of various main courses and we all agreed it was of the highest quality. Our grandson had the roast chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed, and he particularly enjoyed the crumble and custard he chose for his desert. I would like mention Megan and Tallulah who looked after us so well and thank them for their kind service, and not forgetting the kitchen staff for providing top quality food.

Book early to avoid disappointment, can see why, went as a family of eight for Sunday lunch it was a table of plenty. Hard to beat us as we love our grub but huge portions of very delicious food, we had a variety of starters and roasts all first class, served with loads of veg. If you can manage a pudding very yummy especially chocolate orange cheesecake. Our table was in the snug and very cosy a lovely country pub in the village. The waitresses were friendly, and looked after us well. By far the best place to eat in area and prices are very reasonable would no doubt return, we had a lovely Sunday family pre Christmas lunch.

We visited The Bell to celebrate our birthday. We received a warm welcome, were shown to our table promptly. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly. Our food order was taken as soon as we were ready. Two of us chose a Thai Red Curry from the specials board and our other guest chose the Steak and Ale Pie. We had salt and pepper chicken wings to nibble while we waited for our mains. The food did not take too long to come. It was nicely presented, there was plenty of it and it was delicious. We were too full for pudding so we asked for the bill which we received promptly. The service throughout was truly excellent, the food was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
