"It was our first time dining at this restaurant after receiving numerous recommendations, and we decided to go at the last minute. We didn’t make a reservation for Sunday dinner, but I highly suggest doing so, as the entire indoor area was booked. Fortunately, the weather was nice, so there were plenty of tables outside. The service was warm and attentive. After seeing the meals served to other tables, we chose the roast beef, which looked amazing. There was also a children’s menu, and my child opted for the fish and chips. The portion size was great, and the fish batter was perfectly golden and crispy, with plenty of fish inside—truly delicious! Our roasts were fantastic—very tender and flavorful. Next time, I’ll definitely try the cauliflower cheese based on other reviews. The vegetables are all grown on-site and were cooked to perfection. We will definitely visit again. There is also a fantastic play area for children, featuring large, mature trees to climb and lots of grassy areas for play!"

Excellent food. Very tasty. Took about 30-40 minutes which is acceptable wait for good food. Pleasant service from the staff. Now going to try the dessert menu.

Lovely old building, large outside garden area, great staff, lots of parking. Didn't eat there so I can't comment, but the menu looked good. The only annoying thing (and not the pub's fault) is the junction to the main road nearby. It's near impossible to pull out as it's so busy in both directions!

Great venue. Set in the countryside away from all the distractions. Lovely food- portions on the small side. Cosy log burners to keep you warm. Beware no WiFi and the network reception is very poor which is why I have given it 4 out of 5 stars. If you need that break from your phone though its a good venue.

I took my mother to The Bull on Saturday night, and it was our first visit to this pub. We had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations for our meal. We will definitely be returning and will bring our friends along next time! View menu

My first visit, post pandemic, on a venue that was regularly patronised especially when returning from a trip along the M4. Also it was on the Cask Marque Ale Trail not that the staff seemed to know much about it. The ale offerings were unimaginative, but in noble condition, well deserving the Accreditation Certificate awarded (even though this was nowhere to be found) And neither was the Cask Marque plaque, that should have blazed with supreme confidence outside the main entrance. Those seeking a decent pint though, can sup here with confidence. What I also noticed, quite a few quid has been spent in the beer garden there's been a serious tlc programme done and the large Berber tent (becomi...

The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely stunning! The lamb melted in my mouth, and the attention to detail, combined with the fuss-free service, was remarkable. I can’t rave about it enough—it was flawless. There were some long pauses between courses, but that seemed intentional, perhaps to allow the younger guests to step out for a moment or to tend to the little ones. Everything flowed perfectly! We later moved to the next set of selections, with everyone sharing what they wanted in a relaxed manner. Having worked as a wedding waitress myself, I can say I’ve never experienced anything like this before—it felt truly magical! The evening continued with a wonderful atmosp...

"Went for an impromptu meal with her indoors, as this was a local pub we've not been in for a long time we thought will pop in. Greeted by an over enthusiastic bar person who was dragging out the empties from the night before, ordered a couple of drinks and we sat down with the menu's, after perusing the menu we were ready to order, at the same time we were ready a regular couple walked in and sat at there regular table and oredered there regular meal, but the regular gentleman actually wanted an extra sausage with his sausage and chips, well! The kerfuffle this caused was astronomical, this conversation went on for Many many minutes, my wife and I was desperately trying to catch her attention to have another drink, eventually my wife went to the bar and waited, we got served eventually. Then our food came out of the kitchen, we went for the light bites as we were in a snacky mood, Chicken strips Mozzarella bites Chips with curry sauce and nachos. We never got the nachos as there was no guacamole BTW Chips came out which were actually fries, covered in this sauce, gross, then we had 3 chicken strips with no garnish £4.95 £1.63 each Then 4 mozzarella bites came out, no, nothing else just 4 mozzarella bites, £4.95 £1.24 each. So if you want have your pants pulled down and be robbed of your hard earned cash then this is the place to go, as for me and my wife we won't be. We did mention the poor quality and value for money but it was brushed under the dirty carpet and she was going to feed our comments back to the kitchen."
