"Been waiting ages now to get the regular menu as it was limited during covid. Had the lamb shank which was fantastic as always, the market vegetables were broccoli, cauliflower cheese, carrot and turnip. Very filling, cooked to perfection and great tasting. My friend had the pate starter and sweet and sour chicken main; which was crispy chicken with a great tangy sweet and sour sauce. Wish they would do a fried rice with the sweet and sour instead of pilau. And my friend got the lemon cheesecake however was disappointed as it had no taste of lemon. However we are here often and food is good with a great selection to chose from and large portions. Pricing is reasonable too. Good place to come for a couple or even a large group."

Great portion sizes. Wide range of choice. When bill arrived -it wasn't ours. We pointed this out to Staff member. No apology, just printed out correct one. Given that the 1st one issued was £40'ish ours was 3 times that much, an apology for our honesty would have been better customer service/care!!

The place was recommended, so expectations were high. However it lived up to reputation. The menu was simple but diverse. Our starters were haggis and black pudding with peppercorn sauce and chicken liver pate. Both were excellent. Our mains were Philly steak and chicken burrito. Again both were great. The service was warm and friendly. Well worth a return visit.

Food was all superb. The portion size was massive. Best of all was the service. Everyone happy, smiling and chatting away. Also very patient with the little ones who can't decide what they want to eat lol Been going here for meals since I was a little kiddie and now my kids massively enjoy it as well. Never had a bad experience in over 20 years! One of the country's best family restaurants

We went on a Thursday night and it was extremely busy, the meal was delicious, the service was good and it was good value for money. The only thing that was slightly irksome was the table next to us had children who were allowed to scream and shout throughout most of our meal. I know it is the parents responsibility to ensure the behaviour of their children but perhaps a quiet word from a staff member could have helped

Had my 5 year anniversary here at the start of the summer and it was great! The staff were friendly co-operative and kept the bar open till 11! Had around 200 people there and all of them were fed well with a good amount of food left to spare! I would go on but after a wee while I became blackout drunk and somehow ended up at the door of Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh the next morning. But overall cracking place and would highly recommend!!!

Excellent value for money. The menu has plenty of options and caters to a wide variety of tastes for both adults and children. I've visited on a few occasions it's always been really busy so definitely book in advance. Regardless of how busy it is you're never left waiting long for service or for your meals coming and the staff are always very friendly. Ideal place for a family get together or a night with friends as it has a lively atmosphere.
