"We walked in to the red lion without a reservation but were soon sorted with a table with no fuss, with the choice of the restaurant or the bar. Ben quickly sorted our drinks delivered them with menus. Lots of tasty options we went for the chicken goujons to start, steak pie curry of the day (chicken madras) for main a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All of the food came promptly, and was very hot and tasted delicious. The whole menu is great value for money, especially the curry that came with chips, rice, naan poppadom. Lovely food, great service, warm welcome would highly recommend. They also have a b b upstairs, as well as a bar area with all the sports. Thank you to Kirsty the team."

Had my 60th birthday party. The team at the Red Lion hosted us exceptionally well. 50 guests enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal accompanied by live jazz band. Fantastic service from all the staff. Special thanks to Kirsty and Ben, nothing was too much trouble. Made for a special night. Thanks

We visited Wybunbury for a quiet night away and had a meal at the Red Lion, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The staff were polite and very courteous, I would definitely advise paying them a visit. The Pork Belly was amazing with mustard mash and apple gravy, I hope the rest of the menu is as delicious.

Recently had a family meal at The Red Lion, which was excellent. The atmosphere in the pub was good and the staff were very attentive. The fish and chip were to 'die for ' and I couldn 't believe the size of the haddock! We would have no hesitation in recommending the pub and will be returning soon for their curry night!

stayed overnight on 19th March. The room and breakfast were great. A really nice friendly pub in a great location with all the trappings of a high standard resturaunt and accomodation. Met Helen on Saturday who went out of her way to be helpful . Met the landlady Kirsten on Sunday who was really lovely and down to earth. View menu

We ate here during our recent stay at TRL and, of all the places we ate, this is the one I know I would return to I just wished we lived locally! I had a delicious steak and mushroom pie with mash and veg, as did most of us. My husband lucked into a beautifully cooked fish and chips the one I 'pinched ' tasted delicious! I 'm so glad we (just about) left room for the apple and berry crumble which was equally delicious. And all topped off by excellent service from our two young servers.

Called in for a birthday tea. Ordered a curry and a chicken in creamy tarragon sauce. The curry was tasty enough but nothing special. It came with a tiny portion of rice and few chips. Also a small nan bread. No chutney, poppadoms or salad so a very basic meal. The chicken dish looked well presented and was cooked OK. However the sauce was bland with no flavour of tarragon or garlic. Again dissapointing. Chocolate fudge cake had clearly been microwaved and the custard that we asked was lumpy. The beer was good but at almost £5 a pint it should be. The service considering it was very quiet was slow. In all we were dissapointed and will not visit again.
