"Had a lovely meal out for date night when we were lucky enough to get a sitter. Well had booked and were welcomed in by staff, shown our seats and promptly our drinks orders were taken. Lovely choice available on the menu, I decided on the chicken Caesar salad and my husband settled on the chicken burger with dirty fries. Both were delicious and generous portions although the “dirty” offering on the fries was tiny despite adding a few quid to the bill. We enjoyed our little evening, staff were lovely and it was busy (Friday 7ish) without being crowded. There were a LOT of dogs (all well behaved and chilled out under their owner’s chairs tables) but they weren’t a bother to anyone. We’re planning on going back again soon"

Visited Sat 13 Jan Celebrating a family members Special Birthday Oh! what a night Perfect. 28 guests and we all commented how good the food was. Thank you to all the Catering Staff, Bar servers for making it a night to remember.

Nothing special like I’d been told. Burger I ordered was nothing like the kind of burger you’d expect in a country pub, was like a greasy takeaway burger. Fries instead of proper chips. Staff seem generally disinterested. Wouldn’t return.

Went today for the first time and it's a beautiful pub with lovely views and great staff. Cannot fault the pub itself but the gentleman behind the bar who I think is the landlord comes across a bit arrogant apart from that beautiful place. View menu

Amazing food, you won’t be disappointed. Lovely staff relaxed atmosphere. Our 2nd visit, this time we went with the family. Everyone enjoyed it the little special touches made it special for my daughter’s birthday celebrations. Definitely recommend a visit.

Recommended by a friend, and have to say, was superb. We both had the Beef Wellington, crammed with pulled and very tasty beef, lovely smooth mash and mixed veg that were cooked to perfection. Looking forward to returning, probably a Tuesday, as it is 30% off the food, which makes it great value. Nice staff and good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Came for Sunday roast which initially looked amazing however was served cold. The waitress assisted swiftly with new plates of food that were slightly warmer as they had been drowned in red hot gravy which then killed the taste of everything else. Not a great experience. Such a shame as the beef was actually tender, but was let down by everything else. View menu

We had a voucher as a thank you and certainly made the most of it by tucking into a superb Sunday Lunch. I had the special lamb shank roast with all the trimmings and my partner had roast beef. The staff were attentive and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. We had a lovely window view and we plan to come back on a warm summers day so that we can sit outside.

Visited with friends and my two dogs and sat outside. Ordered sandwiches and bowls of chips and asked for a couple of sausages for the dogs as a treat. Sandwiches were fine but the chips tasted like yesterday’s just re heated and were dreadful! Brought out 5 small cocktail sausages and charged me £6.90!!! Did speak to staff and said it was ridiculous but they were dismissive. Won’t be returning!!
