"I and my family have been regularly in the hawes for many years and is a firm favorite of my Canadian family when they visit. five of us visited last night and we were all disappointed about the service that was painfully slow. we had to ask three times for our drinks. our eating took an old and two of our group had almost her head before the rest of us even had our meal before us. we decided that it will take too long to order desserts and some had baileys and I as a driver ordered a cappuccino. again, that was waiting long. my coffee was hardly warm, had no cappuccino frit and could not even melt a sugar cube. I was embarrassed that I had taken four friends to dinner, and each of us is very disappointed and extremely underwhelmed to say the least! a beautiful renovation of the spatial areas was removed from a bad, bad service. I would also like to add, there is not a pasta dish on the menu that I find a little incredible and I was told that I could not order a ceaser salat, as it was served only for lunch, so an salat was also not an option. very disappointed to say the least."

Nostalgic, cozy and clean although tired in places. Close to boat trips, train station and a coastal walk to Cramond. Food was very tasty and staff were helpful and pleasant

Fantastic food and a stunning location. Excellent and friendly staff and relaxed but efficient. Love it. I have stayed here too. Would recommend. The seal boat trips opposite are wonderful.

very delicious food. first class service. lots of space in a well decorated, relaxed environment. no distracting loud music. we got a lot of time to choose our meal. no pushy waiting staff that tried to feed us and move on.

no one at the haws new about yums so very disappointed by the fork. eating and service was excellent and have booked for the next Saturday night for nine people directly, as they know nothing about fork, so not a happy person robin cook

visited with my partner and our 12-week baby. we had booked a table and got a selection of a few tables that was nice so our child car wasn't in the way. great menu and eating was nice. the staff was nice, but it seemed to be a little bit understaffed when we didn't see our waitress much. we waited about 30 minutes to order dessert, but she didn't come back so we went on to pay instead. would still go back.

Two of f us chose the same for all three courses. The starter of scallops and prawns was delicious, very succulent and tasty. Sirloin was perfectly cooked and also delicious. Not fans of roasted garlic and in hindsight vegetables should have been an order. The Christmas pudding was good, I would have preferred it warmer but that’s a personal choice. Service was friendly and efficient, restaurant was busy but we were never was wondering where our server was. Will definitely return and recommend.
