"We went on the internet advertising £13.95 early bird menu arrived £16:95!!! Booking 6.30pm starter arrived 7.30 all absolutely starving whilst waiting for stater must of been asked 5 times if we wanted a drink. Then waiting a long time for main did comment when bringing more drinks this is what we think they are aiming for. Food when we eventually got nothing to write home about. Asked for garlic to be added to my fettuccine none added. Very busy lots of staff our suggestion being use them in the kitchen instead of badgering customers for more drinks"

We were taken here for a work function. They were very friendly and accommodating the food was amazing value. The staff could not be more helpful.

On the day decision to have date night, chose Francos. Decided give the 3 course choice a shout even though missus rarely eats so much. Could not imagine how good the service, quality and value this was. highly recommended and we will be there again very very soon.

Ate here on a busy Saturday night. The waitress really knew her stuff and was amazing at recommending for veggie's, vegans and meat-eaters. She checked in and replenished drinks, whilst remaining unobtrusive. The value for money was impressive too. Great experience that the whole table enjoyed. Well done :

Very disappointed with the food! Starter was mushy and the main was awful tortellini de crema needless to say it went back still a full meal, my partner did not finish his main and is now being sick. Sad to say we certainly will not be returning. Feel it was just about the money and not the experience or food.

The food was a little bland to start but genuinely ok overall! The staff were friendly but I found it extremely off putting when we walked up the stairs and about 7 waitresses are just stood around staring at you. Not sure if this is what they are asked to do or if there was just not much else to do. Dessert was lovely.

Good value early bird menu £16.95 for 3 courses. Had a lovely family birthday meal and there were two other large birthday parties there so there was a nice atmosphere. There were 10 of us and we all enjoyed our various meals which were tasty and of a good size. Staff were courteous and attentive. Will definitely return.

We had a great night celebrating our 40th wedding Anniversary, all 8 of us could not find fault with anything the food was excellent all served and presented so well. We’ve visited Francos lots over the years and never been disappointed. All of us said everything was hot and full of flavour. Thank you to Franco and his wonderful staff for making our night perfect

We came last Saturday, a party of 8, for a family birthday celebration. The staff were, as usual, warm and friendly and the food was excellent as always. We were not rushed, even though the restaurant was busy. My daughter and I came again last night as a treat before going to the theatre and again… excellent food, excellent service and Franco came over talking to us and gave us a delicious recipe for bolognese sauce. Always a pleasure to eat at Franco’s. Will never get fed up of dining there.

We booked a 50th birthday meal for 25 people. It couldn’t have been any better, we were seated downstairs as was our request, and the staff were friendly ,attentive and efficient. Franco met us, and welcomed us . If your having or looking for a family/ group meal you cannot go wrong here , the food was great, and with a party of 25 it can go wrong but it didn’t , it all came out together and was exceptional everyone had good quality food , at a very competitive price . We would highly recommend a visit to Francos!

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
