"Ambience stock steakhouse decor with meat depictions splashed across the walls in a warmly lit spacious set up. Service prompt and efficient for the most part. During busy lunch/dinner times, you could wait a few minutes to get some attention. Drinks : House Sour good choice! Elderflower Spritzer too sour to be enjoyed! Thorny Cow a balanced taste! Berry Fizz can improve on presentation! Appetizers : Dusted Calamari served with garlic and chive mayonnaise pieces of calamari was deep fried making them crunchy. Lemongrass and Chilli Tempura served with sweet Chilli jam the jam itself had a good thick texture. The prawns were a bit too small! Mains : Ribeye (12oz) medium well served with French fries, a few lettuce leaves dressed with garlic and parmesan along with peppercorn sauce. The meat was tender. Could do with more seasoning though! Fillet (8oz) medium served with fries, lettuce with a bacon mustard dressing along with a rich borderlaise sauce. Again, the seasoning would have taken the steak to a whole new level! The crispy onion loaf added some needed crunch. Bourbon Roasted Shropshire Chicken looked a bit dull in appearance but tasted a tad better. Mushrooms were tasty. Barbecue Glazed Chicken the marinade was tasty but the portion was tiny and cannot be a meal by itself. Served with sweet potato fries and a piece of crispy onion loaf. Battered Fish n Chips the fish tasted soft and moist on the inside of a crunchy batter! Dessert : Sticky Toffee Pudding served warm with a beautiful texture, the vanilla ice cream alongside made it an extremely worthy dessert. Banoffee Pie the BEST dish of the entire meal. An exquisite caramel base with crunchy biscuit shreds and caramelised bananas, I do not remember having a better Banoffee for a long long time. Highly recommended! Price : A meal should cost in the tune of 35 40 pounds a head with a drink and dessert. When in the mood to indulge, the overall experience is decent !"

Excellent service as always! I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. I had an 8oz fillet steak and my partner had the 12oz sirloin and it was cooked to our liking, our waiter was also lovely, giving us a great deal on a bottle of prosecco and filling our glasses up for us when it got low, we will definitely be returning! Never disappointed when I go for dinnero to Miller Carter. Steaks are always cooked as we want them and as good as any other time. We only had an issue once when the steaks came cold and we mentioned it to the waiter. They took them, warmed them up and came back with extra chips, so can't complaint! Staff is polite, welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Steak was good and the bone marrow was exceptional! Loved it!!! I forgot the name of what we ordered but it was really tasty! The staff was also helpful and accommodating. Update: Just recently came here this month (May) and i asked the staff what the name of the meal in the first photo was, and his answer was totally unexpected- they have removed this from their menu

Came here for a lunch with friends, the food was exceptional. I can't fault anything. The sticky chipotle chicken bites were in a sauce so yummy I had to very unceremoniously mop up afterwards! The surf and turf seemed small initially but after eating it realised it was the perfect portion! The sundae was huge and delicious!! The service was prompt, very quick and our server Laura was very welcoming, positive and friendly! I'm not a local to Reading but would definitely come back here often if I lived here! Modern and contemporary decor, the choice or dining inside or outside enjoying a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. We had steak and barbecue ribs with sweet potato fries and the portions was huge while the quality was mouthwatering also the price was affordable. Miller Carter on the river side at the Oracle is a lovely rendition of the steak house chain. A spacious inside with relaxing decor sets you up for a relaxing meal with friends and family. I had the 50 day sirloin medium rare and it was good. The steak was so thick though that I kind of wished I had asked for medium (something to consider). One of my friends had the T bone and oh my that looked good it was *big*. The IPA on tap was nice and smooth. The staff were very friendly and good fun. Big thanks to Tara who served us and put up with our raucous boys own fun and laughter A great night out and as summer draws near a meal outside on the balmy riverside is a win. Recommended
