"Loved our visit to the Fisherman's wife. Bit of a queue to get in (we joined it at about 6.15 and it took 25/30 minutes to get in on a Thursday evening). The staff were really friendly and attentive throughout. We ordered lobster, mussels, a prawn crab dish and some vegetables was a great amount of food for two. Each dish was very tasty, full of flavour (the lobster being the pick of the dishes). We finished with a lemon tart, again fantastic. Really recommend heading there if you get chance while in Whitby, it was probably our favourite sit down meal, the view is good from the restaurant if you get lucky with your table too!"

Wonderful location with sea view. Friendly staff. Amazing creamy froth on cappuccino! Fish was very nice but leaving the skin on isn't to my taste.

Great food, fish and chips were freshly cooked and tasted great, staff wore face coverings, hand sanitiser on all tables, great sea view. An excellent dining in experience, definitely recommend eating here and I'll be back for more!

It was our first visit to this restaurant as we usually eat somewhere at the other end of town. We found the service good and the food to be excellent having the crab salad and haddock and chips. The desserts were equally good. Well recommended.

Absolutely beautiful views and the meals were great. The staff could not do enough for us and were very welcoming particularly Anna who was a star. The view from the tables overlooking the beach and pier is outstanding . The grilled salmon on a mash potato garlic sauce. Beefburgers, chips and salad was delicious and reasonably priced. Cannot wait for our next visit !

yesterday we chose a lobster in garlic butter and king prawns to share with salates and chips and 6 tern on ice and a cold glass wein, I must say it was the best and greatest lobster wew ever had! much for 2 people! the only thing I would say would have gone thin pommes better, but I will just mention that not as a complaining only a suggestion because it was fabulous

We visited The Fisherman 's wife two nights in a row as we were so impressed with the quality of the food and great staff on our first night. We enjoyed mussels starter, Scampi and chips (my husband described this no bulls..t this is the best Scampi I have ever tasted. On the second night we had crevettes followed by Haddock and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and found the staff friendly, helpful and hardworking. We would definitely visit again if we get back in the area again. Definitely recommend.
